Welcome to our School
John Wilkinson Primary School and Nursery has high expectations for all children and staff and high standards of teaching and learning. It provides a friendly, supportive and purposeful school community, which values all of its members. We are a small semi-rural provision offering a nurturing environment in which all children can excel. We value children as individuals, and help them to understand their role as members of the John Wilkinson family and of the wider community.
We are situated in beautiful surroundings in the heart of the Broseley community and we are very lucky to have extensive school grounds for children to enjoy. First hand, exciting experiences for children underpin our planning and provision which ensures all children enjoy learning.
Our committed team of staff and governors work closely with parents to offer an exciting and creative curriculum which enthuses children and inspires them to love learning. We have a strong tradition of high academic performance but maintain excellence in the arts, physical activity and health, above all promoting enjoyment and engagement in learning. We employ specialist teachers to support our offer and to ensure children have high quality teaching throughout the week.
We recognise the vital part parents play in their children's learning and are committed to developing partnerships with parents. We listen to their views and make adaptations to allow us to become even better. We offer wrap around care from 8:00am until 5:30pm Monday - Thursday and 8:00am until 5:00pm on Friday to ensure that we support parents when they need an extended provision.
We are very proud of our school and are happy for prospective parents to visit and see the school in action. Through visiting school, you can witness the excellent learning behaviour of our children and see the distinctive character of our school for yourself.
If you would like to find out more about our school, then please email our administrative team here or telephone the school to speak to someone directly. The children are our best ambassadors and we would all be very happy to meet you.
