Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!
Nursery - Beau for being kind and helpful and supporting his little sister on her first few sessions at nursery. What a lovely brother you are! Reception - This child was chosen for being helpful, friendly and trying hard. Year 1 - Violet for being helpful without being asked and trying really hard. Year 2 - Harlow for showing lots of resilience in her learning even when it was tricky. Year 3 - Isabelle for fantastic writing. Year 4 - Archie for taking his time to develop his skills in sketching. He has shown this care and attention to other areas of the curriculum too. Year 5 - Evie for always remembering to practise her weekly times tables and bring her book to school. Year 6 - Annie for settling into school really well. Her confidence in sharing ideas is excellent, and she is a great addition to our class.

Be Responsible
James, Mikey, Archie and Muhammet in Year 4 have shown great responsibility in taking care of school equipment at breaktime and making sure everything is put away neatly at the end of break and lunchtime.
Owen in Year 3 has supported other children in the class to help them to complete a Science experiment.
Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Children in Nursery have been busy this week learning about Number. They have enjoyed various activities including counting objects, drawing around number stencils, comparing quantities of number and copying numbers on the interactive board. Well done children!

Year 4 have been working on their sketching skills to produce line drawings of animals. They showed great concentration to produce some fantastic sketches.
Year 6 have had their first lesson playing handball this week. They watched how the professionals do it, and are now having a go at learning some of the skills. With an active local handball club, hopefully some of them will continue this sport when they move into Year 7.
Year 1 had their windy day experience this week to help them come up with onomatopoeia words for their English, related to the book 'The Queen's Hat'. They had lots of fun using hair dryers and fans to blow off their hats!
Year 3 have been learning how to use different media to create light and shade when sketching Ammonites. They made very careful observations to add detail.
