Curiosity Corner
Take a look at what our children have been curious about this week in their learning!
Year 3 have enjoyed learning different strategies to add two-digit numbers with exchanging. We worked together using practical resources and recorded our learning on whiteboards.
Y2 and Y3 have been so excited today to find out that we are going to get the chance to take part in Shropshire Bookfest in the Spring Term. This year the focus is on Readers and Writers and the children will have the chance to meet an author, read lots of their amazing books and learn how to create...
This week Y2 have been using ICT to help us create timelines and understand the order of events and people in the past. We have been learning about some 'Movers and Shakers' who changed the way people think.
Last Sunday, pupils from Year 4 attended the Broseley Remembrance service and read a special poem all about the significance of the poppy. Well done to all of them and other John Wilkinson pupils who were representing their scouting and sports groups.
The Reception class have been busy learning about measuring this week. We have been using unifix cubes to measure items in the classroom but found that we needed to use larger bricks to measure taller items outside!
The TRUST*ED sports partnership will be running a Christmas camp from 19th December- 22nd December.
