Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!
Reception - Quinn has been chosen for always working hard and contributing with his lovely ideas. You have a great imagination! Year 1 - Toby F for his amazing Queen's hat story and for sitting so smartly on the carpet. Year 2 - Penny has been chosen for trying really hard in maths yesterday. Year 3 - Harlow and Dylan have been chosen for their amazing progress in learning their 2 times table. You were both determined to get them all correct! Year 4 - The child in Year 4 has been chosen for her impeccable manners at all times. Always a delightful and hardworking pupil. She thoroughly deserves to be celebrated. Year 5 - Eamon has been chosen for becoming more focussed in class and offering ideas thoughtfully and sensibly. Year 6 - Gracie is always on task and ready to go! She takes responsibility for her learning to 'deepen the moment' whereever she can. A true superstar!
Headteacher Awards
Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.

Year 2 have had an amazing afternoon meeting children's author Tracey Corderoy as part of the Shropshire Bookfest Readers to Writers project. We loved listening to Tracey retelling some of her stories and finding out about how she collects ideas, plans and changes her stories. We can't wait...
The Reception class have been investigating solid shapes. They have made cone story characters, cuboid buildings and cylinder people. They finished the week by creating their own Jack-in-a -box using cubes.
In year 4 we have been learning about how and why River landscapes change over time. We learnt the words 'erosion', 'transportation' and 'deposition' and explored the effects of these.
The Year 6s have completed a treasure hunt as part of their English lesson! In groups, they had to work out clues to different word classes and sentence forms to help decipher their next location around the school
Year 1 have been studying 2D shapes this week. We know how to name common shapes and identify their properties. We made some amazing pictures using 2D shapes.
This week in P.E Key Stage 2 children have been practising 10 move routines in gymnastics. They have been trying really hard to hold the positions and have taken feedback from their performances.
