Headteacher Awards
Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.
Be Responsible
Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.
Elissa (Y5) for being such a super help in the dinner hall at lunch times.
Henry (Y1) for making sure he returned a toy he found to nursery where he knew it lived. They were very appreciative.
We thought you might like to see a range of photos from our Year 6 leavers party and our special ice-cream treat thanks to the PTA.
This morning all the children and staff were able to present Mrs Shannon and Joan with their goodbye gifts, it was a lovely way to celebrate all their hard work at JWS. We will miss them very much. We also had a sneak peek at the Year 6 leavers assembly performance. Well done Class of 2023!
Curiosity Corner
Take a look at what our children have been curious about this week in their learning!
Year 1 have been doing D&T this week and we have been learning how to chop, slice and grate food in order to make a tasty sandwich for Paddington Bear!
Year 2 have been busy making moving pictures for the new Year1 class. We've learned lots about levers and linkages, sliders, pivots and other mechanisms.
