Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!
Reception - Velvet has been chosen for her part in our harvest assembly. She introduced the story and acted out the part of the turnip really well! Year 1 -Toby F for trying really hard with his writing this week. Well done for being a ready Eddie. Year 2 - This week Violet has been chosen for being kind, thoughtful and helpful at all times. Year 3 - In Year 3 Rosalee has been showing she takes pride in her work and has been trying really hard to present her work neatly. Year 4 - James has been chosen this week for being ready to learn all week. He has worked especially hard in maths this week. Year 5 - Maeve for listening carefully and respectfully in class and offering thoughtful ideas and responses. Year 6 - This week Evie has been showing determination in maths. She has developed her confidence through the lesson and is ready to consolidate the skill.

Annabel (Yr4) and Layla (Yr2) helped all the adults in school to prepare for our harvest festival performance. They took responsibility for putting out chairs and displaying all our food donations ready for the performances.
Chloe G (Yr6) was caught helping an injured member of another year group and alerting a member of staff.

This week the children in Y2 have been exploring Autumn through art and poetry. We have learned a poem off by heart to share in our Harvest assembly and painted some colourful autumn leaves using the colour wheel to help us make exciting colour choices.

Y5 had great fun in their drama workshop to learn more about the Shang Dynasty in ancient China. We learnt about social hierarchies, famous leaders and different jobs all through role play, improvisation and freeze frame.
This week Year 6 went to William Brookes to take part in a range of sports, these included Badminton, Gymnastics, Football, Rugby, Basketball and Netball. We had a great start to the day on Tuesday with many children coming in early to join the 'Wake Up, Shake Up' session with Mr Bourton. The frosty start ensured that plenty of movement took place and there were lots of smiles too. Next session is 8:30am Thursday with Mr Bennett.
